Custom Orthotic Casts Winnipeg

Orthotics are special shoe or heel inserts that are custom-made specifically for your body and feet. Feet are very unique, highly complex structures, with each foot consisting of 26 bones and 29 muscles, not to mention the fascia, ligaments, tendons, nerves and blood vessels.

Custom orthotic casting can be formed by your Zen Physiotherapist with or without a direct Doctor referral (we always recommend contacting your insurance provider to see if a referral is necessary prior to ordering your orthotics). Once casted to the shape of your foot, the orthotics are then shipped and made through our supplier, Paris Orthotics. The type of orthotic varies from rigid support to very flexible and cushioning for the foot. Custom Orthotics are individualized through our detailed assessment of the and casting for your foot shape and needs.

At Zen Physiotherapy Winnipeg, we commonly prescribe orthotics for the conditions listed below (among others) that perhaps have not improved with other conservative management techniques.
